Why is Kvasi inspired by Norse mythology?
We wanted learning to feel like an adventure rather than a collection of disconnected activities. Norse mythology provides a rich world of stories, places, characters, and ideas that naturally support exploration, discovery, and progression.
Alexander's Danish background also gave us a personal connection to Nordic history, folklore, landscapes, and storytelling traditions. Over time, these influences helped shape the atmosphere and identity of the world we wanted to create.
Norse mythology also provides a strong foundation for a connected learning world. Realms such as Midgard can become settings for different learning experiences, while the World Tree creates a natural framework for exploration and future expansion.
Rather than teaching mythology itself, Kvasi uses Norse mythology as the setting for the learning experience. Our goal is to create a world that feels memorable, cohesive, and enjoyable to explore while helping children develop knowledge, understanding, and confidence through learning.
