Inspired by our childhoods.
Built for theirs.

Two founders. Two childhoods — Denmark and Singapore. One shared belief that children deserve a better learning world than the one most apps are building.

Who we are

Alexander Bennet Larsen grew up in Denmark, shaped by Scandinavian values around play, independence, and a deep respect for curiosity. He saw firsthand how the right environment — calm, unhurried, rich with stories — could make learning feel natural rather than forced.

May Than Htike grew up in Singapore, where education is taken seriously and strong foundations are built early. She learned that rigour and ambition, when combined with genuine understanding rather than rote memorisation, can unlock confidence that lasts a lifetime.

Together, we saw the same problem from different angles: too many children spending too much time on screens designed to hold their attention rather than develop their minds. We wanted to build something different.

Why we built Kvasi

When we thought about the children in our own families — and the children we hope to have one day — we kept asking the same question: what would we actually want them to use?

Not another app full of ads and manipulative streaks. Not passive videos dressed up as education. Something with real stories, real depth, and real learning at its heart. Something we'd be proud to hand to a child.

Kvasi is our answer to that question.

The name

Kvasir is one of the wisest figures in Norse mythology — created when opposing groups set aside conflict and combined their knowledge. He travelled the world sharing wisdom, and wherever he went, people became more curious, more capable, more connected.

That story felt personal to us. Alex and May come from different cultures, different educational traditions, different ways of seeing the world. Kvasi is what happens when those perspectives meet — just like Kvasir himself.

The name also carries a second meaning. "Quasi" suggests something never quite finished or final. We see learning the same way — not a destination, but a lifelong journey. Kvasi is built to grow with children, not to be outgrown.

Our principles

Learning should be something children want to do

Not something done to them

Children deserve safe, private environments

No ads, no manipulation, no hidden costs.

Growth should be healthy and balanced

Engaging without becoming addictive.

We build alongside families

Always listening, always improving.

Education should prepare
children for life

Not just for tests.

Every child deserves their own path‍ ‍

Progress measured against themselves, not others.

We're building the learning world we wish had existed when we were children.

Come build it with us.
